The win for Cornell (12-16, 6-8 Ivy) allows the Big Red to finish the year with twice as many wins as last year, both overall and in Ivy play. The victory also gave the Red a winning record at home (7-6).

After a first half that saw five ties and three lead changes, Cornell took a 32-27 lead into halftime. From then on, it was all Big Red.

The home team began the second half on a 17-0 run and never looked back, holding Columbia scoreless until a Taylor Ward three with 12:39 left in the game.

Munson added six rebounds, three steals, two blocks and an assist in her only start of the season. Munson finishes her career 12th on the all-time Big Red blocks list with 44, behind Clare Fitzpatrick (48) and Kristina Danielak (49).
